Social Media Marketing in Real Estate

Reaching Buyer's in New Ways!

Several people have asked us to be more specific about the role of "Social Media Marketing" in Real Estate. The O’Dea Moyers Group is in the forefront of the Marketing World through the use of Social Media. Our Social Media initiative boldly states that we “build relationships and provide great information to the community.”

In today’s world, every real estate agent, real estate investor, home buyer, home seller, distressed property owner, and everyone else in between, can just jump on the internet and find what they are looking for. In the past, people were restricted to publications for listings to find a home -- -- Not anymore…

According to the National Association of Realtors, over 92% of all buyers in 2008 searched for a home on the internet before actually buying a home. That means that close to 100% of all buyers searched for their next home on the internet.

Interruption marketing, such as TV commercials, snail mail, newspaper ads, and radio commercials are losing their market share every single day. People are tired of being interrupted by advertising. Consumers have choices! Things like TIVO, XM Radio, and your good old garbage container prove that the old way of advertising is slowly diminishing. The new wave of marketing is here.

Things are moving faster; a lot faster. Consumers are in control. They can choose whatever, whenever and however they want to access information, eat their favorite food, listen to music, watch what they want to watch, and buy what they want to buy.

See us on: Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, Blogger, Digg, Twitter, ActiveRain, FlippingPad, Trulia, Zillow & over 150+ social media sites where we are “building relationships and providing great information to the community.”

Using Psychology To Sell a Buyer On Your Home

Introduction to Using Psychology in Selling to a Buyer

Over the next several weeks we will be visiting about how to use "psychology" to improve the probability of selling your home. The market is tough for selling homes in many places and sellers need to use all the tools they can to improve their chances of getting their home sold.

The suggestions are based upon years of work, study, and teaching in the areas of Human Behavior Theory, Pscyhology, and Professional Sales Concepts. Each blog will include one strategy based upon these concepts to get your potential buyer to be more impressed with your home. There will be at least 10 strategies and if all are employed, you should improve your chances of getting a buyer to fall in love with your home and make an offer. Each strategy will be linked to a professional sales concept.

Keep in mind that some of the suggestions may include spending money to make your home more appealing to the buyer. However, the ultimate goal is to have a prospective buyer look at your home and want to see more, stay longer, and linger for a while at your property. This will allow them to take the time to see all of the features and great benefits of living in your home.

Don't be afraid to try new things in the current market. The goal is to differentiate your home from the others in the marketplace. I look forward to helping you and invite you to come back soon.
