D Magazine - Best of Dallas 2009

Recognizing Those Who Help Us Excel...

We are attending a celebration party today for D Magazine's "The Best of Dallas Real Estate Agents in Dallas 2009." It is being held at the Warwick Melrose Hotel near Downtown Dallas.

This is our second year to win this prestigious honor. I thought I might take a minute to thank some who made it all possible. You see, D Magazine hires a company to do an area wide study and talk to various people in real estate. This includes other agents but primarily, clients who buy or sell real estate.

In order to be successful as a REALTOR, you have to have a great team to support you. In my case, my wife and partner Judi O'Dea-Moyers is at the top of the list.

Judi is the expert in our organization on property analysis and pricing. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of the market area and since she has been with Ebby Halliday Realtors for 26 years, has seen and shown many of the neighborhoods in our area as they were being built. We work together but she is the secret to pricing our listings in such a manner that they will sell for the highest possible price in the shortest period of time based upon our client's needs. I always listen to Judi!

Kate Futrell is our Administrative Manager and plays an important role in our business on a day-to-day basis. Thanks to Kate, we meet deadlines and deliver a level of service that allows us to enjoy success. Our entire business model is based on being available for our clients. We never turn anyone over to a "Showing Agent or a "Listing Coordinator."

Jeannie McLaughlin is our PR expert and the architect of our very proactive and aggressive Social Media Marketing program. She is a real pro and thanks to her, we are creating new and innovative ways of reaching the public so that our properties that we have for sale, get shown. We strive to lead the way in all aspects of marketing in real estate. Our marketing programs and deliverables differentiate us from others.

The most important people of all are our clients. Our clients trusted us to make good recommendations and guide them through the rough waters of real estate to a safe and happy landing. As a result, they keep coming back to us time and again. Many of our clients have become very close friends. Yet, when it comes to real estate, they all expect results, every time... We never forget to deliver results!

Yes, winning awards is wonderful and thank goodness we have won more than our share in the past ten years. However, the satisfaction that we will remember is not at the cocktail party today, it was at the closing table when we accomplished our joint objectives with our clients. The satisfaction we see in their eyes transfer to us in a very powerful way.
